Raleigh Fire Department, circa 1913
How exciting it must have been to see Raleigh’s fire department in full swing back in the early 1900’s. The city population was only 26,000, and presumably the 24 men and four horses pictured on this post did the job and did it well. I wonder if they ever made a calendar?

One of the best Triangle rainbow photos you’ll see
A lot of Triangle residents snapped photos of that gorgeous rainbow (and in some cases, dual rainbows) that appeared in the sky after those crazy storms earlier this month. But this photo from RaleighSkyline.com is one of the best I’ve come across.
