It’s that time again: Triple coupons
TGFSS. Thank Goodness For Sue Stock. The retail guru at the N&O is constantly saving me money by alerting me to sales and coupons. The latest is her announcement that Harris Teeter is doing triple coupons again! It’s a coupon collector’s dream. It starts Wednesday.

The guys at HowRDUDoing? found an article from the Hendersonville Times-News that says Sen. Richard Burr recently instructed his wife withdraw as much money as she could from their bank’s ATM. Should we be worried?

Bill would make it easier to get public records, recover legal fees
If you’ve ever tried to request public records from the government, you know it’s easy to get screwed out of a document you legally have the right to. But NC lawmakers are considering a bill that would perhaps make it easier for folks to get their hands on public records.

Are you selling anything to make extra money?
I’m in the process of boxing up belongings for a yard sale that I hope yields me so extra dough. But apparently some Triangle residents are doing a lot more than selling junk from their closets. Some are turning to plasma, eggs and cemetery plots to make some money.

I recently started clipping coupons and watching the sales fliers in the newspaper, and I’ve been saivng a lot of money (I saved $43 at Kroger this weekend). Now I’m addicted to coupons. I really need to check out this coupon exchange club these Apex women have formed.

A Wake Forest man who needed to earn extra money worked out a deal with his wife, the N&O reports. If she spent more time taking care of their children, he would work extra hours developing an iPhone game. Within six weeks created iShoot and now the couple doesn’t have to worry so much.

Older Triangle residents have trouble dealing with the recession
I found this story about the recession being tougher on older people interesting because I guess I figured that some seniors have had to deal with belt tightening before. But this N&O article truly illustrates how the recession is hitting the Triangle’s older population.
