A dishwasher at Sullivan’s Steakhouse was murdered Sunday outside his apartment. The N&O is running a story that tries to show the contrast between the Mexico-native’s life and the life of the upscale restaurant he worked in. Instead, the story sounds like an advertisement for this restaurant, complete with its New Year’s Eve specials.

Time Warner no longer only cable option for some Triangle residents
Starting today, AT&T is offering its “U-verse” cable service to select neighborhoods in the Triangle. Time Warner is paying close attention to the launch, the N&O reports. U-verse is Internet based, allowing users to customize their menu with weather, stocks, etc. Would you switch to U-verse?

Many of you know I’m still a fan of the good ol’ fashioned print editions of newspapers. When I travel, I love to buy a copy of the paper from the town I’m visiting. But it sounds like folks passing through RDU can’t always find a copy of the N&O or H-S.
