  • Painters bang on drums for two hours in downtown Durham

    I have a new appreciation for drums now that my BF is teaching me how to play them. So I was excited when I saw this performance art that two painters/drummers recently came up. Check out the short video of this duo banging out a continuous beat in an empty Durham storefront.

  • Cheech and Chong to light up Durham

    It’s the stoner duo’s first tour in 25 years, according to the press release from the Durham Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale at 4:20 p.m. Friday, a fitting time.

  • WKNC launches blog

    The folks behind the awesome programming at WKNC 88.1 (N.C. State’s kickass radio station) have launched a blog. It features a sharp design and good information. Thanks to local music blogger Karen Mann for bringing it to my attention. I’m definitely adding it to my reader.
