Could City Plaza update bring retail to Fayetteville Street?

City Plaza is a construction zone mess, but when the square at the end of Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street is complete, it will offer a new social space for the Capital City. New Raleigh posted a photo that shows off where things stand, and wonders what the new tenants will be like?

admin

The N&O has a writeup in today’s paper about the new city plaza at the South end of Fayetteville Street. In the article, they discuss many of the art pieces that will be featured in the plaza as well as the fact that Jimmy John’s is the only tenant to sign up for one of the pavilions. But……there is hope on the horizon. The article also states that two more tenants will be announced soon. The article hints around Fayetteville Street’s need for more retail. Could there be retail in FaySt’s future? It’s likely to be more restaurants, but let’s hope so.
