The guys at HowRDUDoing? found an article from the Hendersonville Times-News that says Sen. Richard Burr recently instructed his wife withdraw as much money as she could from their bank’s ATM. Should we be worried?

The fact that a sitting United States Senator wanted his wife to go start a bank run and stuff their mattress with $20 bills, that should be enough to disqualify that person from ever holding office, especially in a state that, ummm, depends on the banking industry just a little. Burr has apparently never heard of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and didn’t learn about the bank runs that helped sink us into the Great Depression. He votes on things, in the government!
