  • Painters bang on drums for two hours in downtown Durham

    I have a new appreciation for drums now that my BF is teaching me how to play them. So I was excited when I saw this performance art that two painters/drummers recently came up. Check out the short video of this duo banging out a continuous beat in an empty Durham storefront.

    When “Antiques Roadshow” is on, I become a cheerleader. I want that garage sale painting to be a long-lost Matisse. I want that trinket to be worth $150k because a a pilgrim carried it over on the Mayflower. So I’m excited to read a press release saying the show is coming here June 27.

    Local “freezer food” video reviewer Gregory Ng eats all the food I never get to have. If I buy it, my three sons and husband eat it before I get any. I love his reviews, especially in January when the gyms are full of hungry, resolute (for a while) people.
