  • An Open Letter to Those Opposed to LGBT Marriage

    I find most gay rights/anti-gay rights arguments vitriolic and harsh, but this piece struck me pretty hard.  The authenticity of this open letter from a gay Christian to other Chrisitans is really moving, and I wanted to share.

  • “Slumdog Millionare” Review

    Maybe I have not been paying enough attention, but I somehow completely missed a movie called “Slumdog Millionare”.  From this “America’s Young Theologian” blog post, we get a very interesting review.  I’m definitely going to check it out.

  • Durham Restaurant News

    Rumors are confirmed: “The Symposium” is the American Tabacco District is closing.  A new restaurant is already queued up to takes its place, though: “Cuban Revolution”.  Sounds pretty interesting.  The stakehouse, though, is delayed until 2009 because of “economic conditions”.  This and news of another restaurant in this “Bull City Rising” blog post.

  • Make a batch of this stuff if you want birds to flock to your yard

    If you want to attract more birds to your yard, then mix up a batch of this suet. Holly Springs birdwatcher Dave has been using this recipe with much success.
