How many tasers do Durham police officers need?
Apparently Durham police officers need one taser per 1,000 residents. WRAL reports the Durham City Council is considering purchasing 125 additional tasers for police. That’s on top of the 110 the department already has. With a population of appx. 217,000, that’s a lot of tasers.

IT jobs in North Carolina are fading away
I guess companies don’t always need an IT guy (or gal). The Triangle Business Journal reports that the number of IT job openings in North Carolina dropped by close to a third between October and November.

Avett Brothers to open for Dave Matthews Band this spring
Avett Brothers will open for a Dave Matthews Band in Raleigh on April 22, New Raleigh reports. But Jedidiah, a longtime Avett Brothers fan, isn’t so sure this is a good fit for the increasingly popular North Carolina band. Check out his post to see if you agree with his rant.
