  Out-of-towners trying to find the Durham Performing Arts Center via I-85 will have to travel through an intersection that some Durham traffic engineers have called reportedly called the worst in the state.   I still don’t like grits. I tried them again on Thanksgiving, so I know this isn’t a food aversion that’s likely to change. But Raleigh blogger Brandy loves her some grits and cheese (even though she’s lactose intolerant). She copied a recipe that Britney Spears apparently showed off on some documentary. Watch and learn.

• The first review of the Durham Performing Arts Center

  The brand spanking new Durham Performing Arts Center made its debut yesterday, with Blues legend B.B. King taking the stage last night. N&O music critic David Menconi has the review. Also, the public is invited to an open house at the DPAC at 5:30 tonight.
