VIDEO: A tour of the new Durham Performing Arts Center
The 2,800-seat Durham Performing Arts Center is set to open to the public at 5:30 p.m. Monday Dec. 1. It’s a big deal for the Triangle and for Durham. A slew of Broadway shows are already lined up, along with performances by comedians, B.B. King and more.

Thanks, Andrea! The theatre is quite impressive. They did an incredible job given the budget. There are a few finishes that aren’t as nice as they could have been if they had more money (the railings, internal stairwells, shifty carpet) but overall it’s an incredible facility that will be a big boost for downtown Durham.
