I just saw this, and have to share a story about the parking enforcement officers. It was actually last Christmas, and my wife asked my to run over to Sandwhich to pick something up for a last minute gift for a friend. I parked on Roberson St, and didn't have any change for the meter. I took a chance and darted in and was back out in only a few minutes.

There was already an office standing by my car, ticket book in my hand. He asked me if I wanted a parking ticket. Naturally, I told him I really didn't want one, but I also said it in a polite manner. He then said: "The I won't write you one! Merry Christmas". And off he went towards Franklin St!
