  • A recap of the The Hold Steady and Drive By Truckers shows

I’m kicking myself  because I didn’t go to The Hold Steady and Drive By Truckers show at the Lincoln Theatre last week. I really wanted to go, but it was Election-Eve and I had to get a good night sleep. I sound so old. Karen Mann has videos though, sounds like the DBT weren’t at [...]

  • Racist graffiti at N.C. State is not a hate crime

The students responsible for the racist graffiti that was spotted on N.C. State’s campus the morning after the elections aren’t being charged with a hate crime. That’s because it was painted in a spot on campus where graffiti is encouraged. However, they may face expulsion, the N&O reports.

  • Gears of War 2 has downtown Raleigh tie

I often see a Lamborghini parked in downtown Raleigh. It’s not the sort of car that goes unnoticed. I never knew who it belonged to until today though. New Raleigh reports that the car is driven by Cliff Bleszinski, a lead designer with Epic Games in Cary, which produced Gears of War 2.

  • Another prank pulled on the NBC17 morning anchor

I’ve told you before about the bloopers & other funny moments that happen on the NBC17 morning show. The latest video posted on anchor Sharon Tazewell’s blog truly shows the strong rapport her and co-anchor Donald Jones have in the morning, even if we don’t quite get their jokes.

  • Chances of getting tickets to Obama’s inauguration are slim

You’ve heard the rumors that inauguration ceremony tickets are being sold for $1,200 or more or that they’re impossible to get. Well, the N&O sets some of those details straight today.
