If everything your elementary school teacher ever told to your class was caught on tape, do you think he/she would have ever gotten in trouble? A fifth-grade teacher in Fayetteville is under fire over a comment she made to a student about McCain/the Iraq war. It was posted online. Over the top, yes or no:

In the video, Harris tries to generate a class conversation about the presidential election by asking students whom they supported. She said supporting either candidate was fine. … Another girl said she backed McCain because that’s who her parents favored. Harris points out that the girl’s father is in the military, and cautions “the person that you’re picking for president said that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to. So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years.”

This teacher harmed this child for life. You can see it in her face. Lets hope nothing happens to her daddy or she will blame herself as so many children do for things. This teacher needs a time out and perhaps a little education. OR better still do the same thing to her that the NAACP wants done to the 4 students for writing comments on a free speech wall at a college recently.
Also she mentions the LORD and JESUS several times in the video. Is that allowed??
