  • Is it too early to decorate for Christmas?

    I spied my first Christmas decorations on Saturday. The banners hanging outside a shopping complex on Whitaker Mill Road were swapped out with some cliche holiday symbol that fails me now. But apparently, the city of Raleigh has already begun decorating Fayetteville Street. Check out the wreaths:

    For 24 years, train lovers around North Carolina have visited the N.C. State Fairgrounds for the annual Train and Railroadiana Show and Sale. On Sunday, Ginny went to see what gets these folks choo-chooing.

    We all know there area  lot of greenies around the Triangle. It seems like every business is trying to find a way to be more sustainable (or at least a way to claim to be). But what are the green success stories in the Triangle? John Dancy Jones highlights them on his blog Raleigh Rambles.

    It always amuses me when newspapers get letters from folks accusing editors of being too liberal or too conservative. How can a newspaper be both?
