Plenty of people are disappointed that Barack Obama will become our next president. Raleigh resident Mark Lindsey definitely didn’t want him to win, and mom-to-be Andrea is turning to God for her hope. If you’re unhappy with the outcome, feel free to vent in the comments below. Maybe you’ll feel better.

Well, we have a new President! No, he isn’t the one I voted for but I have to say I have an amazing peace about it all. We prayed yesterday and voted and that’s all we can do. I am excited to see what God has in store for us.

I’m really dissapointed Barrack Obama will be our next president, for many reasons really, but mainly because of his lack of respect for the dignity of Human Life. I’m sure when I say phrase people are turned off and aren’t interested in what i have to say past that but I don’t see how Senator Obama is going to stand up for me and my rights if he won’t stand up for the most vulnerable portion of our society, the unborn (and just born infants for that matter that are strong enough to make it through a botched abortion). This is going to set back the pro-life movement greatly and it will takes years to recover. We do have prayer though and the Lord certainly works in mysterious ways. I know he has something planned for us and I’m excited to see what that is!

i just don’t understand the whole pro-life movement entirely. Sin happens… why do we have to control what other people do we don’t have control on how this world works and all the bad things that happen.

Maggie, it is a tough deal, because it feels like the pro-life movement is imposing their views and religious beliefs on everyone else but I think one of the major issues at hand is that the govt. is using their (the pro-lifers)tax money to give to orgs like planned parenthood. Essentially they are paying for something they hold to be utterly wrong. Also Doctors won’t be able to object to these procedures regardless of their beliefs. Of course the pro-lifers want to abolish all sorts of abortions, except when the mothers life is imperiled, but realize that that’s a tall order. Oddly enough I think it’s more society imposing it’s views on pro-lifers than vice-versa. I think abortion is murder and I want nothing to do with it. I don’t want to pay for it, and I don’t want to have to participate (I’m not a doctor) if my beliefs directly appose it. That’s what I think anyhow.
