  I was talking to one of my friends today about the cold weather. He said he needed to find someone warm to curl up next to. I suggested getting a dog or a cat. Then I was catching up on my blog reading and found this adorable dog up for adoption in Durham.

• Be on the lookout for missing 12-year-old Durham girl

  *UPDATE* She was found. *END UPDATE* Pam has important details about a 12-year-old girl who is 8 months pregnant & has apparently run away from a group home in Durham. Her case doesn’t meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, but local bloggers are trying to spread the word in hopes of finding her.

  I so wanted to go to the Sarah Palin rally at Elon University earlier this month. If she makes it to the Triangle before Election Day, I’ll definitely be there front and center covering her for 30THREADS. Indy photographers Derek Anderson and Jeremy Lange were at Elon though and put together this amazing slideshow.
