  • The Rosebuds played a packed show at Slim’s

    I’ve yet to see the Rosebuds perform, which is apparently a sin if you’re a music fan in the Triangle. Lucky for me Karen Mann was there covering them for her fabulous music blog. I’ve listened to her video of “Get Up, Get Out” twice already today. I definitely missed a good show Wednesday night.

    I’ve waited my fair share of tables & worked as a barista through most of college, so I definitely appreciate the art of tipping. But not everyone does.     If you ever ride the TTA to work then its possible your commute could get longer (or shorter) Dec. 1. That’s when TTA will move its regional bus transfer center out of RTP, the N&O reports (wow, I just used a lot of acronyms … my journalism professor would not be proud).

    The accuser in the infamous Duke Lacrosse rape allegations (which the court determined were false) has published a book. She plans to donate $1 of every copy sold to battered women. She was in Durham promoting her memoir this morning.
