The N.C. State Fair is a blogger’s paradise. Between all the photo opportunites, farm animals, contests and food, there’s plenty to show off to our readers. I expect a lot of us Triangle bloggers will be covering the fair, but Brandy from Girl on Camera sets an impressive precedent. Check out all her photos:

Had a pretty good time. I took a lot of pictures tonight and this might be the only batch I put on my Vox, but I’ll post them to my flickr. Anyway, I have been playing with Tom’s fixed lens and that’s an experience! haha Ugh. It’s all a reminder that I have so much to learn! Anywayz, Can you see how excited I am to be eating my body weight in corn dog while drinking Kool-Aid! MMMM…bread. Check out the photos and me on the swings

Do you think there is a way to herd cats, i.e., get a bunch of bloggers to go together to the Fair as a group, bring cameras, iPhones, laptops, whatever and blog the Fair to death, then collect all the material in one place, e.g., right here?

Don’t forget my OTHER FAIR PHOTOS! http://girloncamera.vox.com/library/post/more-fair-fireworks.html
And you can see I’ve been going for the last three years on this tag for even more fair stuff.

Anywayz, isn’t tweetups for the meeting up? I think it’s rather distracting to have a group meetup in a big place and trying to cover an experience. I think it takes away a little personally. If you specfically made a trip to some place to have a meetup, that’s different. But to cover an event, eh. Not a fan of it. But I can’t work like that personally. It sounds like fun.

I’m absolutely going to be on the look out for all the local blogger coverage of the fair. I want to pull it together in a video as a recap.
I wish I had thought about organizing the blogger meetup at the fair sooner.
