Twitter is buzzing today about two things, one Apple’s new macbook line & two an Amber alert for @genochurch ‘s 14 yr old daughter in SC. @Kristasphere sent us a tweet about the alert. As an Amber alert service is probably one of the best ways to use twitter. Agree?

HELP – Missing 14 year old girl
Please, my friend Geno’s daughter has been missing since Saturday.
She’s 14-year old McKenzie “Kenzie” Church from the upstate in South Carolina (Spartanburg, Greenville). She could be anywhere most likely in the Carolinas or Georgia.

I really do think this is one of the BEST uses of Twitter that they probably never would have envisioned. Even when @professorkim’s son briefly went missing, people allover were tweeting about it. Indeed, I’ve watched the tweet about McKenzie circulate all day like a virus on Twitter. Even people I follow in the UK have been retweeting it! This is definitely virality at its best and I pray that they find her.

Update: they posted that this is not an Amber Alert but a run away case. Still people are looking for the kids.
