My grandmother lived since the 40's on East Main St until the mid 90s. I now work at ATC, during my day job. I've never really had any problem in downtown. Although, just driving through parts with other people, I've seen friends go, "You drive though here? Are you nuts?!?" I don't know if there is really a way to calm folks fears about the area. I know I've gone to hang out in ATC after work or gone home and come back to Tyler's or Mellow Mushroom. What interests me is, from your article it seems they've been working on this for 30+ years now, does that make it a lost cause at this point?
