Raleigh’s tallest building officially opens today
When the RBC Plaza officially opens today, it won’t just be a win for the investors and developers who made Raleigh’s now-tallest building possible. It’s also a big win for downtown Raleigh, which is making a transformation into a place to work, play and live.

The city spent the past five years fostering that change, spending hundreds of millions of taxpayers' dollars on improving downtown with a new convention center and opening the former pedestrian mall on Fayetteville Street to traffic. Many consider the RBC Plaza, which holds its grand opening today, the most iconic symbol of Raleigh's renaissance.
