  • Has politics and this year’s elections divided us?

Have you ever been sitting quietly at the lunch table enjoying your meal when someone brings up one of those topics bound to start an argument? It seems politics is one of those topics, especially this year. Over at the koehmstedt blog they didn’t get into an argument  but a little political jab almost caused [...]

  • Join the THREAD SPINNERS at Raleigh Wide Open

Despite Hanna’s attempt to put a damper on Raleigh’s party, Raleigh Wide Open will go as planned & that means that we’ll be joining the party. We’ll be live streaming the ribbon cutting at noon Friday on the 30THREADS.com/live . Then on to the exhibit hall, we’re will be providing updates during the day.

Now this is strange blog post, Jeni at the http://ifoundhappy.blogspot.com/2008/09/burnt-toast-in-rtp.html#mce_temp_url# seems to smell burnt toast while going to work in the RTP. Is it some chemical in the air or what? Do you smell burnt toast also? I may have to drive out their to see if I smell it too.

The Durham Bull Pen is excited about the event, but not about its location in an asphalt parking lot.

  • The difference between a local teen pregnancy and Bristol Palin’s

*whispers* I know the media isn’t supposed to talk about the pregnancy of Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter. But N&O columnist Barry Saunders brought it up today. And even more interesting than that is Beverly’s candid take on her own teen daugther’s preganancy v. Palin’s daughter.

  • The shimmer wall light up party is tonight

By now you probably know I’m a big fan of the shimmer wall that adorns the side of the Raleigh Convention Center.  At 8:45 tonight it will officially be lit (although the lights have been tested already and some of us caught the scene).
