Do you have a love hate relationship with your dog?

Over at Dog Tales, you know they love their dog but sometimes having a dog can be troublesome. So they list some of the Worst things about owning a dog. Take a look at the list, do you agree?

Wayne Sutton

I'd like to take inventory of the worst things about owning a dog. There are just so many fabulous things that I just don't think I have enough space to type them. But I think I have the time and energy to make a list of the worst things.

True “doggy love”, as it were, does not consider a bit of poop and some hair in the corner a bad thing. To the contrary - humans shed and poop, for very good reasons.

I’ve been a dog caretaker (we don’t really “own” them, do we?) for over 5 years now, and I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.

Agreed. We rescued our pup 2 years ago and I just adore life with her. She doesn’t shed (I’m allergic, so we have a mini schnauzer), the dirty clothes are easy to wash and the cost of monthly medicines are well worth the reward. I simply got used to the poop. :)

In my defense, I love my dogs with all my heart. If you read my blog, that’s obvious. If they ran away and never came back, or died, I would probably curl up in their crate with their toys and cry my eyes out. But come on, be real with me, when you get poop on your hand, and accidentally get it in your hair, you have to admit, it’s not your favorite thing, right? Go back and read my latest post. I added two new things to that list. One of them is: Not being able to help your dog when she’s sick. I think that’s the absolute worst thing about having a dog, hands down. It breaks my heart.
