Fixing a flaw in the system
Several months ago I was upset to find out rape victims in North Carolina must pay the hospital bill for the rape test kit doctors utilize to collect evidence. The N&O did an excellent job highlighting this injustice. Lawmakers recently approved new funds that will prevent this.
