I love that ride. The route is so bucolic and pretty, but by far the thing that originally drove a friend of mine and me to do our first Bikefest, after riding 330 miles on our bikes from Raleigh to Washington, DC for the AIDS ride in 2003 ( http://www.nematome.info/tourdefriends.htm ), was the homemade goodies they have at the pit stops! :-) Though I didn’t do it this year, I’ve done Bikefest several times in the past years.
