• Triangle residents want mall curfews for teenagers

  So, like, what if teenagers totally couldn’t chill at the mall anymore? If the majority of Triangle Business Journal readers had their way, late night loitering would end for teens. More than 500 people responded to the TBJ’s online poll. And some of the responses are, like, so unfair. OMG.

• Keeping an eye on Nukes

  It’s good to see companies seeing a danger and stopping before something bad really happens and that’s excactly what Duke Energy after seeing some unsusal changes at a nuclear power plant.  Over at the Facing South blog they’re keeping an eye on the NC Nuke building for the community.

• Money and Taxes, if it’s not going down, you know what that means

  It’s being reported that in Johnston County by Troy over at HippiePuncher.com that everything except the kitchen sink is going up. His trash collection, property taxes and and electric bill. It seems part of the reason is because of  construction costs for new schools and other buildings but something doesn’t seem quite right.

  Sometimes we just need to rant about poor driving. Over at the Durham Bull Pen, folks are sounding off about 4-way stops. It seems there’s one intersection in particular that some Durham drivers just can’t figure out.

• Police cars, guns, speed chase… oh my!

  If you were downtown Raleigh yesterday afternoon then you know it was crazy! There was a police chase, guns being fired and traffic problems.  Is it just me or is Raleigh crime increasing? Either way I wasn’t there but Mary was and blogged about her dramatic trip to downtown yesterday.

  Local bloggers are getting their kicks playing with Wordle. It allows you to create artsy tag clouds. Steve posted his resume and Shawn showcased his blog. Lisa seems to have had the most fun with it.
